AOS Mailing List

A mailing list (listserver) has been set up to enable AOS members to send an email to the entire AOS membership. This has previously been possible for the council by using the email addresses from subscription forms, but it appears that in many instances these addresses are now out of date.

A more reliable system is a listserver, where people can subscribe to the list (which means having their email addresses placed on the list) through the internet. In this way we hope that the people will be able to update their own addresses and then emailing the entire membership will be possible.

When you subscribe, your email address is added to a list of AOS members all of which can be emailed by sending mail to one address. The mailing list is unlikely to be used often, (we expect about 2-4 times per year) so you will not be beseiged with unsolicited email. This list is currently moderated by a member of Council, Stephen Gibson.

To subscribe to the mailing list:

• Complete the Mailman formhttp://www.ics.mq.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/aos-members
  
• You will receive a reply by email containing a request for confirmation, and after you have confirmed your address you will receive instructions for list functions, such as unsubscribing.

The list currently consists of that which we have already compiled with all existing AOS members.
