The Australian Optical Society has joint membership schemes with both the SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering) and the OSA (Optical Society of America). For 2002 the full membership fees for these societies are shown along side the reduction you can claim if a member of the AOS below.

Both SPIE and OSA offer the opportunity to stay informed about optics. They promote communication and networking with colleagues, and are a source of continuing education and professional growth. They also provide a vehicle for the participation in and contribution to the world wide technical community.
To become a joint member
First join the AOS or renew your AOS membership by filling out the form at the back of
any issue of the AOS News (or see subscription information).
You will receive a dues receipt with three sections. Attach the appropriate portion to
the application form of the other society (OSA or SPIE) and mail with your payment, less
the amount indicated on the AOS receipt.
NB : (a) This offer applies only to members wishing to become full members of the OSA and/or SPIE. (b) It cannot be used to obtain a refund of any sort once dues have been paid.
