About the SP3 Logo

Some of you might wonder what this is all about. Well I am not too sure either...

The bottom part looks like this:

This an optical waveguide splitter that devides the light from one input to 8 outputs. You will find more information by clicking here....

The next section, in the middle looks like that:

This part is an SEM cross section of a planarisation. SiO2 has been deposited using HARE on top of an SiO2 pattern.

And finally, the clouds in the sky:

This beautiful image was created by Alex Degeling. It has something to do with electrons being trapped in a helicon wave...
