Model 252/315 Spectrometer
The Model 252 is a 1.5 Meter Grazing Incidence Spectrometer This instrument consists of a glass beaded stainless steel vacuum chamber and grating housing with a flange for mounting a 4-inch pumping system and an "0"-ring face plate for vacuum connections to scanning slit assembly; holds the stationary bilateral entrance slit at a fixed angle of incidence, 82-87.5° (please specify, adapters available every 0.5°), and allows adjustment across the Rowland Circle. (88° suppliable, but without entrance isolation valve). Precision machined stainless steel ways and stainless steel bellows to connect slit assembly to the main chamber complete the basic unit. The entire unit, mounted on a 24 x 34.5 in. granite block for extreme stability and isolation from vibration, weighs only 250 lbs. and is usable in any orientation.
