Model 713 Xenon Power Supply

The Model 713 power supply is a low voltage, high-current regulated and filtered DC supply specifically designed to operate the Model 613 xenon light source. For safety and convenience, the negative terminal of this supply is maintained at chassis ground. This permits the use of a shielded coaxial cable to be used to connect the supply and lamp.

The high pressure xenon lamp requires a high voltage (on the order of 20kV) for initial start and an auxiliary high voltage rf supply is included in this unit for lamp start. A lamp current adjust control allows optimum lamp current selection. A front panel meter continuously monitors lamp current and is also a good indicator of lamp aging.
