Thesis: "Effect of geometrical and topological constraints on the formation, evolution and functional properties of disordered cellular systems". Supervisor: Prof. Dario Beruto.

Thesis: "A model for high Tc superconductivity induced by antiferromagnetic fluctuations".  Supervisors: Prof. Enrico Galleani d'Agliano and Prof. Franco Napoli.

Books: “The Pursuit of Perfect Packing” (Institute of Physics Ed. 2000); a book about packing problems and disordered granular systems that recounts the story of the solution in 1998 of the long standing “Kepler problem” and addresses many topics ranging from soap bubbles to atomic structures. Taylor & Francis has re-published a largely extended second edition in 2008.
