From Gaussian random fields one generates relatively simple states, and Peter Pieruschka and I run a Monte Carlo simulation for those cases where membranes are stiff and structures are more ordered. The simulation used a new method of adjusting Fourier coefficients and produced surface structures that are very close to disordered minimal surfaces.
