Abstract

It is proposed that we begin to look at nonequilibrium and non-Kolmogorov turbulence, as appears in unsteady, highly compressible reactive flows containing shocks and high-speed flames. This paper focuses on a flow in which turbulence is generated by Richtmyer-Meshkov instabilities due to repeated shock-flame interactions.
